My Thoughts:

The Titans had a decent offseason thanks to some wise free agent signings and a good crop of incoming rookies. They did lose a few pieces in free agency as well though. DeMarco Murray was a great addition at running back and will help to stabilize the offense. Ben Jones has been a consistent NFL starter and he will slide into the starting center position for the Titans. Without question, Jones is an upgrade at center. The Titans did lose veteran safety Michael Griffin to the Vikings which was a huge blow but they recovered nicely with the free agent signing of Rashad Johnson of Arizona and the drafting of Kevin Byard to provide a future for the free safety position. Johnson is not as terrific as Griffin but he is a dependable starter. Sean Spence adds some nice depth at inside linebacker despite undersized at only 5'11. He is quick and has good vision and looked good with minimal starts in Pittsburgh. The Titans lost sixteen game starter at cornerback last year in Coty Sensabaugh but offset that loss with the signing of sixteen game starter for the Steelers last year Antwon Blake. Blake should only slot in as a CB3/CB4 here though.

The draft brought a number of players in that will compete for playing time. I love the Jack Conklin pick with his tenacity and aggressive play and he will make a difference at right tackle for the Titans. I am not completely sold on Kevin Dodd for the next level but he has a great mix of effort and length. He could emerge as a force with hard work and attention to details such as use of hands to defeat blocks. The potential is there. I really love Austin Johnson and all he brings to the field. He is an effort guy with aggressiveness and quick feet to go along with 314 pounds. He will be a force in the interior. Derrick Henry will team up with DeMarco Murray to give the Titans a scary one-two punch at running back that can grind it out and move the chains. A number of other draft picks will compete for playing time and should add value on the football field as depth players.

The Titans are without question trending the right direction. Lots of youth, lots of flair and lots of potential to move up the ladder in a hurry. Nice couple of years of acquisitions in Tennessee.
