My Thoughts:

The Denver Broncos took some hits in free agency as is usually expected of the Super Bowl Champions. The defense will miss impact players Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan although the depth at defensive line and linebacker will cushion the blow. The team was frustrated with the loss of Brock Osweiler whom they had been grooming to replace Peyton Manning who retired this year but the free agent signing of Mark Sanchez and the 1st round selection of tall, athletic Paxton Lynch will cushion the blow. And lets be honest here as well: the Broncos won the Super Bowl last year despite terrible quarterback play from Peyton Manning throughout the entire season. Anybody can step in and give the team at least the same level of play as they saw last year. The team would love for Lynch to step into the starting role but only time will tell how close he is to being ready as he was not in a NFL friendly offense in Memphis. The team added two potential starters at offensive tackles in Russell Okung and Donald Stephenson and both are currently slotted into the starting tackle positions. Okung was a former 6th overall pick by the Seahawks but has struggled to stay healthy, playing in only 72 of a possible 96 starts. His play has also fallen off as of late but he has the potential to stabilize the Broncos left side. Donald Stephenson was only a backup with the Chiefs over the years but has the talent to do a decent job at the right tackle position. The team did managed to keep C.J. Anderson under contract despite interest from the Miami Dolphins and Anderson gives the team a legitimate rushing attack that will be needed in 2016.

Overall the Broncos took a step back with the loss of Jackson, Trevathan, Manning and Osweiler but the roster is still loaded up and this team will be battling for the Super Bowl again this season if they get any effective play at all from the quarterback position.
